Friends Who Care serves families who need private care in their homes. Homebound patients are served by a dedicated staff of hundreds of caregivers who provide a wide level of services for virtually every health care need. Care can be provided for a few hours or around the clock depending on patient and family needs. Services may be as “everyday” as cooking meals, housekeeping or bathing an elderly relative who has difficulty moving. Respite care, such as a family member needing a break to be able to get out shopping and take care of errands is an additional service of Friends Who Care. More demanding patients with Alzheimer’s disease or those needing quadriplegic care for catastrophic injury are also accommodated through the caring hands of the professional staff of Friends Who Care. FWC also provides care to those dependent on ventilators or who are terminally ill and desire to be in the more comfortable surroundings of home. The Friends Who Care (FWC) staff works in cooperation with your doctor to provide independence and knowledge regarding self care. Professionals work with patients and families to develop a plan of care. This combination of skilled professional services, provided in the home, assists the patient in achieving maximum health potential within the limits of disability.
